The day has come…the long awaited RT to Austin, Texas. We have only communicated ever so slightly about this day, yet I am glad to take it. Our plans are to leave (as soon as she gets here) and head south about three and a half hours to the Austin area.
Our first event is to float the river. Inner tubes and cooler. After that well we have no set plans other than to eat at a few good Texas BBQ joints (I choose this).
The deal is simple. I pay for gas…she pays for the room…everything else is dutch. She booked the Omni…with a King bed and balcony. May lead to an interesting weekend… Stay tuned.

Don’t forget the sunscreen. That river and the sun can be ruthless!!
And sunburn, even in a King sized bed, is no fun.

I am going to wish I was floating down a river soonest. It is nice to be wet for good reasons – river, pool, ocean, good male company. Instead I am going to be wet because the air is so full of water!!
